This bright design offers impressive control over depth of field, for isolating subject matter as well as for enhanced low-light performance. The lens features one ED element and one aspherical element for clear and accurate rendering, with multicoated surfaces to prevent lens flare. This 50mm f/1.4 has a manual focus design capable of focusing as close as 19.7" away and a 12-blade diaphragm that contributes to a smooth bokeh quality.

Normal-length prime lens is designed for full-frame format Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and offers a 75mm equivalent focal length when used on APS-C-format bodies
